In case you didn't know, Mount Rainier or Tahoma as some of the locals refer to it as is in Washington State about 60 miles southeast of Seattle. It is the tallest in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and is also considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world due to its proximity to a large population.
Mount Rainier was also the 4th designated area to become one of the United States' beautiful national parks. It's a must-see when visiting the Pacific Northwest!

It's the beauty of this mountain from both afar and up close. You can include Mount Rainier in just about any landscape photo within 75 miles of the mountain on a clear day. You can also visit the park and enjoy the beauty up close with glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, and streams. The possibilities are endless!
Not only is the mountain beautiful just with its snow-packed top, but it is also especially beautiful when the sunlight bounces off that surface at sunset giving it a purple glow. It truly is magnificent.
